A new scam has caught up with Facebook's MSN Messenger, where the program has seen the spread of a new virus.
The virus appears as an instant message with the word "video" attached to an emoticon, followed by the link that carries the virus, and appears as a message from one of your friends
Once the link is clicked, the user will be redirected to different malicious sites according to the search engine, according to the site "Bleeping Computer".
Google Chrome users who click on the link are transferred to a fake YouTube channel. If you want to play the video, the virus will direct you to the most popular security software, which will destroy the user's computer system.
While Firefox users on Windows and Mac are moved to a fake "Flash Player" page, which hits the user's computer with Adware.
This will allow Internet criminals to steal user data, the most important of which is the bank details available if the user is using the credit card to purchase online.
Experts advise Facebook users to avoid this virus by not clicking on any link as mentioned previously, and communicate with the other party to verify the link sent from or not.
